MINISTRY UP-DATE    „    JULY 2010

Hello Friends in Christ! What an awesome God we serve! I trust that you too are seeing the graciousness of the Lord in every area of your life, work and ministry. Glory to God forever!

I am currently living in Abilene, Texas; (west of Dallas about 3 hours.) Back in February, the Lord provided an opportunity for me to come to Clyde/Abilene, Texas. I came and spent 18 days with these brothers during the month of March. This was an awesome time! I spent a week of this time in Mexico for their spring break trip. By April 17^th, my house was listed, and sold on Memorial Day weekend! We closed on the house June 22^nd, I was completely moved out by 26^th, and they moved in on the 27^th! I rented a 26ft Penske Truck with car carrier, and we left for West Texas on July 1 at 8pm; 25 hours later, we were in Clyde, Texas! (Taras Pacula –he came to help me drive: He did most all the driving! And Anthony Stillo, who also moved from Wooster, OH – he lives in Abilene). We unloaded the truck on Saturday morning into my 2 bedroom apartment. (It’s already too small!)  

It has been three weeks now and it has been quite an adjustment in so many ways! And at the same time, it’s been great/refreshing /encouraging being here in the new place and new season in my life. Everything is new: relationships /contacts / and opportunities, etc. The church body life/culture is awesome!! Lots of great relationships!! I am about 12 miles from Clyde, which is where we gather for the celebration of Jesus! Kingdom Life Fellowship-Brandon Hawk, lead Pastor: www.klfonline.com (Clyde, Texas) Two weeks ago last Sunday, I got blessed with a new roommate! I went to church that morning believing the Lord that I would either meet him for the 1^st time or get reacquainted with him! At the end of the service, I spoke to this brother I had seen earlier in the service. He had just asked some people to pray for him, specifically for a place to live! I said, well man, we need to talk! (I had met him back in March when I was here! He came over later that afternoon and we visited for about 3 or 4 hours. He came back Monday night for supper and filled out the paper work, by Tuesday night he had been approved; and he moved in this past Saturday! God is faithful!

I am learning how to rest in Him! And He is helping me to find His plans and will for my life! I am very excited about being here, and about the new things that God has for me! As I am getting settled in my apartment and becoming familiar with the area, I am also looking for some part-time work, specifically on ACU – Abilene Christian University Campus. My main focus is college students and people who are in that age group. God has been, and is very faithful to me! There are so many things that have taken place in order for me to be here! What an awesome God we serve, and mighty in power. So, as I am here in this new season of my life & ministry, learning to do things differently: like focusing on building relationships intentionally; being a spiritual father to a generation of orphans; being a solution to the world’s problems and hearing the cries of their hearts! Investing in people – members of the family, the body of Christ!

I'm very excited to be a new part in Mainline, Leonard Evans has been a true blessing in my life. His fire for God and is desire to reach out.

Please pray for the ministry as we continue to seek Gods will. The battle is  tough as we go but with Gods provision we know He'll see us through!
